Hours: 36 per week
The post holder has responsibility for both Stenhouse and Sighthill Early Learning and Childcare settings, which are standalones based in the South-West area of Edinburgh. Each setting has a staff team consisting of Senior Early Years Officers, Early Years Officers, Early Years Practitioners and Assistants along with a Clerical and support staff.
Stenhouse
Stenhouse ELC has staffing capacity to be open 52 weeks a year, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and has a Care Inspectorate registration to provide a service for up to 28 children aged 0-5 years, with all the current children attending being 0-3 years of age.
Sighthill
Sighthill ELC is located within the Calder housing area and is staffed to be open 52 weeks a year, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, with a Care Inspectorate registration capacity to provide a service for up to 40 children aged 0-5 years. All the current children attending are 0-3 years old.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
