A global manufacturer of complex capital equipment as they look to add a Buyer to their supply chain team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with MRP-driven purchasing experience who enjoys working closely with suppliers, operations and planning teams to keep manufacturing moving.
The Opportunity
You’ll take responsibility for a defined supplier base, managing purchase orders, lead times and delivery performance. The role is well suited to a practical, proactive Buyer who wants to make a tangible impact in a structured manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing routine suppliers and day-to-day purchasing activity
* Using MRP/ERP systems to place and manage purchase orders
* Negotiating lead times, pricing and delivery commitments
* Supporting production schedules and business objectives
* Resolving supply issues and driving supplier performance
* Working cross-functionally with planning, engineering and operations
What They’re Looking For
* Experience as a Buyer or Materials Buyer in manufacturing or engineering
* Strong MRP/ERP and supply chain knowledge
* Confident communicator with suppliers and internal teams
* Organised, dependable and commercially aware
* A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved
