Support Workers Days OR Wake Nights Children Young People Residential setting £12.30 - £13.20 per hr from 24 hrs - up to 38 hrs per week Progress Care are seeking Support Workers to join our team to support children with learning disabilities and additional needs at our residential home in Coventry. Our Residential Support Worker role offers a salary of between £12.30 - £13.20 per Hour, (Basic salary based on competency based qualifying criteria) plus Sleep (min of 1 per week) and premium overtime rates (between £14.80 and £15.70 PH), and a superb Benefits package including: Private health cashback plan Online GP, scans, physio, counselling and more Death in service, 2x salary Contributory pension Blue light retail discount card Annual leave purchase scheme Broad training and development Emergency days scheme Performance management programme and annual review to support progression Refer a friend reward scheme Annual superstar awards Additional annual leave days after 2 and 5 years of service Utilities comparison service Counselling line through the Care Workers Charity The Role As a Support Worker at our 6 bed Childrens residential service in the heart of a residential community in Coventry, you will be caring for children and young people with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, and may also have diagnosis of EBD, Autism, ADHD, sensory impairment, and associated behavioural challenges and/or complex care needs. You will need to be available to work a mixture of Early and Late shifts, Long Days, and alternate weekends. We also have Night opportunities available. As a support worker, you will join a team to provide a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to children and young people. Your role is also vital to the progression of a children and young people. You will encourage them to develop new skills and to be the best that they can be. You must be sensitive to the needs of those in your care. Qualifications / Experience You have a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our team if you possess the following: You will need to hold or be willing to work towards NVQ level 3 Residential Childcare or Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce Experience of supporting children and/or young people, or Adults with Learning and/or Physical Disabilities The ability to communicate on various levels Working knowledge of, following, and working to Care Plans Successful candidates will also be: Caring and approachable Patient and welcoming Creative, Helpful and Reliable If this sounds like you, we would love to talk to you about this opportunity.
