Job Description
The Analytical Science team provides hands-on analysis of samples from suppliers, quality control, and competitors. They are seeking a Fragrance Analytical Scientist to join their growing team of analysts, focusing on maintaining and improving manufacturing quality standards. What You’ll Do
1. Conduct analytical project work, including reverse engineering of fragrances using GC-FID and GC-MS.
2. Analyze and quantify fragrances using GC-FID and GC-MS software.
3. Utilize deconvolution software.
4. Create fragrance formulas.
5. Analyze raw material profiles.
6. Maintain GC-FID and GC-MS facilities appropriately.
7. Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues across departments.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or equivalent.
* 3-5 years of experience with GC-FID and GC-MS.
* Previous commercial experience in a third-party laboratory or industry setting.
* An interest in method development and process improvement.
* Demonstrated initiative, strong communication skills, curiosity, and team working abilities.
Bonus points for
* Experience in the fragrance industry.
