Role Overview
We're seeking a Paraplanner to provide technical support to our Financial Planners. In this role, you'll research financial products, draft suitability reports, manage compliance, and maintain accurate client records—ensuring our clients receive clear, actionable financial planning. This is an opportunity to be a vital, behind-the-scenes part of our team in achieving financial goals for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct thorough research on pensions, savings, investments and protection products to support adviser recommendations.
· Prepare clear, accurate suitability reports and financial plans.
· Maintain well-organised client files, assist with completing applications, schedule reviews, and support the implementation of agreed recommendations.
· Ensure all plans and reports meet FCA regulatory standards and internal compliance procedures.
· Assist in preparing regular reviews—such as annual reviews, cash-flow forecasts—and update recommendations accordingly.
· Work closely with Financial Planners, with the opportunity to attend client meetings to take notes or gather information, and support a smooth planning process.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, legislative changes, and policy updates.
· Engage in CPD.
Qualifications & Skills
· Holding the Level 4 (or higher) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
· Strong understanding of financial services products, planning principles, the FCA regulatory framework, and compliance.
· Excellent analytical skills, accuracy-driven, comfortable working with technical data and drafting clear recommendations.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to present complex financial concepts clearly, both internally and in suitability reports.
· Efficient multitasking, ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage client work proactively.
· Comfortable using financial planning software, such as:
· Intelligent Office
· Intelligent Office Cash Flow
· Financial Express Analytics
· Genovo report writer
· Comfortable using MS Excel, Word, document management systems, and other common tools.
