We’re supporting a large banking programme that’s looking for an experienced Endevor Administrator to join their mainframe team.
You’ll play a key role in managing and supporting CA Endevor environments, ensuring stable releases, smooth deployments, and high system reliability across multiple LPARs.
Location: Manchester (2 days onsite per week)
⏳ Duration: 6 months (with extensions likely)
What you’ll do:
* Administer and maintain CA Endevor environments
* Manage version control and change management for mainframe applications
* Create and maintain processor groups, element types, and exits
* Perform upgrades, installations, and configuration of Endevor software
* Automate deployments, shipments, and archiving
* Support developers and provide Endevor guidance
* Monitor system performance and maintain documentation
What we’re looking for:
* 8+ years of experience in Endevor administration or mainframe support
* Strong skills in JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST
* Familiarity with ACF2 or RACF for security administration
* Experience with automation and scripting
* Good understanding of COBOL, JCL, or other mainframe languages
