Sheet Metal Worker We currently have a fantastic opportunity forSheet Metal Workerto join a leading and growing manufacturing company based near Christchurch. Trainees also considered. Introduction The primary role of the Sheet Metal Worker willinvolve working with thin gauge aluminium. Trainees will also be considered Responsibilities: Shrinking, stretching and rolling of sheetmetal Fabricatingand assemblingsheet metal products. Setting up and operating fabricating machines as well ashand tools to cut, bend and straighten. Shaping over anvils, blocks or forms. Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seems and joints of welded, brazed or burred surfaces. Work to all H&S procedures and processes Support in training of employees as required. Ideal Experience: Skilled - Preferably experience within the aerospace industry with thin gauge aluminium experience. For candidates without previous / current aerospace experience, however posses excellent sheetmetal skills and have worked with thin gauge sheetmetal within other sectors,with the right attitude and willingness to develop into aerospace please also apply as for the right candidate their will be an opportunity to develop your skills. Trainee - Preferably a background within manufacturing whohas used a variety of hand tools and equipment or apprentice looking for their next steps.
