OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, telehandlers, and more. Responsibilities
* Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, and telehandlers.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Provide excellent customer service while working on-site and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a fitter or technician, preferably with plant machinery.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Relevant qualifications in engineering or mechanics (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Full UK driving license.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day
* Travel to various sites in Swindon and surrounding areas to carry out maintenance and repairs.
* Inspect and assess machinery to identify issues and recommend solutions.
* Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
* Respond to breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
* Communicate with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
