Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: Wigan
Salary: £28,000-£32,000
Work Pattern: On-site (5 days a week)
An established and growing organisation is seeking a hands-on IT Support Engineer to take ownership of IT systems.
This is a standalone position within a fast-paced environment, offering full responsibility for day-to-day IT support alongside the opportunity to lead improvements and projects. The role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and being fully involved in a hands-on setting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems run efficiently and users are well supported across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line IT support across the site.
* Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
* Manage and improve IT systems, servers, and infrastructure.
* Take ownership of upgrades, projects, and system implementations.
* Support users and document processes.
Key Skills
* Proven experience in an IT support role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, and basic networking.
* Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Happy working in a fast-paced environment.
