We are looking for a proactive and committed SHEQ Supervisor to join our client's team in Runcorn. You will take a hands-on role in promoting SHEQ excellence across the business, supporting teams, driving compliance, and influencing positive behaviours at all levels.

What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the investigation of significant health and safety incidents and facilitating the production of reports, documentation, and identification of root cause and business improvements within required timescales
* Facilitating internal and external audits, including BSI PAS99, ISO 45001, and insurance audits, and liaising with the HSE and the Environment Agency
* Raising awareness of risk and providing assurance to site management that the health and safety management framework is effective
* Reviewing health, safety and environment documentation and developing new policies and systems in line with legislation, best practice, and business needs
Your background
Must have:
* Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
* Experience facilitating internal and external audits (BSI PAS99, ISO 45001, insurance, and regulatory)
* Over 5 years' experience in a safety and environmental management system leadership role within a chemical manufacturing environment, preferably on a COMAH establishment
* Strong team player with excellent work ethic
Nice to have:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
* Experience liaising with authorities such as the HSE and Environment Agency
* Understanding of process safety in relation to high hazard processes
* Computer literate, particularly Microsoft packages
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 and OHSAS 45001
