Job Title: Scaffold Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Scaffold Estimator to join our team based at our Yeovil office. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site surveys, preparing accurate scaffold estimates, and supporting the commercial and operations teams to ensure projects are priced competitively and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out site visits and surveys to assess scaffold requirements, access constraints, and safety considerations
* Prepare accurate and timely scaffold quotations and tenders for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects
* Interpret drawings, specifications, and site information to develop scaffold designs and costings
* Liaise with clients, site managers, and internal teams to clarify scope and requirements
* Use estimating and pricing software to produce detailed breakdowns of labour, materials, and plant
* Maintain and update pricing databases in line with current labour rates, material costs, and company margins
* Support contract handovers by providing clear scope and assumptions to operations teams
* Ensure estimates comply with relevant health & safety regulations and industry standards
* Assist with value engineering and alternative scaffold solutions where appropriate
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Scaffold Estimator or similar role within the scaffolding industry
* Strong understanding of scaffold systems, methods, and regulations
* Experience using Smart Scaffolder (or similar) and estimating/pricing software – advantageous
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site surveys as required
Desirable
* Experience pricing a range of projects including commercial, industrial, and refurbishment works
* Knowledge of temporary works design and scaffold design principles
* Familiarity with contract types and tender processes
