Full-Time Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant Position - Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2)
Location: Northampton (NN2)
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Northampton. This full-time role is focused on Key Stage 1 (KS1), supporting children at a vital stage in their early learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons that support the learning and development of KS1 pupils.
* Provide targeted one-to-one or small group support, helping pupils build confidence and achieve their full potential.
* Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
* Assist in tracking and recording pupil progress, supporting their academic and personal development.
* Help with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and ensuring a safe, stimulating learning space.
* Prepare and adapt learning resources to suit the needs of young learners.
* Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring every child has equal access to learning opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience or qualifications in a similar role within KS1 are desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting young children.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
