This Primary School in the BS11 area is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their in the Mornings Only to join their team as soon as possible.
The Role
An ideal teaching assistant is patient, supportive, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow. You will build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff, communicate clearly, and work well as part of a team. A great teaching assistant understands how to support children with varying needs, including those with special educational needs, and helps create an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment. You will be expected to be reliable, organised, and proactive, always ready to step in where needed to support both learning and wellbeing.
You will be expected to do:
* Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities
* Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning
* Assist pupils with special educational needs or additional support needs
* Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources
* Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional well-being
* Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, or school trips
* Support pupils with reading, writing, and numeracy skills
* Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
* Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour
* Help maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment
