Your new company
A leading engineering company is looking for a construction legal professional as an additional hire to a small team. This will be a permanent hire, for a start in November, or alternatively a temporary to permanent hire, with a start asap. The company specialises in sustainable green energy infrastructure, driven by a forward-looking approach to the industry's challenges and is going through exceptional growth. They are private equity backed by a very reputable private equity house, who have circa 40 portfolio companies.
Your new role
Reporting to the General Counsel and based in the City, this role is a newly created position within the generalist commercial capacity. They are going through acquisitions at the moment to assist with their growth trajectory, however, this will be a more commercially focussed role, particularly within the construction capacity. You will contribute to the work of the in-house legal team, with a focus on non-contentious construction. You will also work on a range of projects, including a GDPR project the team is currently handling.
Some key duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Draft, review and negotiate engineering and construction contracts.
2. Coordinate with external legal counsel. Dealing with collateral warranties.
