We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in following their care plans and maintaining their daily routines.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
* Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Requirements
* Experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
* A caring and patient attitude towards individuals requiring assistance.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks.
* Willingness to undergo training and development opportunities as required.
