Position: Property Maintenance Operative at Fundacion Nuestros Hijos
Location: Medway
Salary: £32,000 per annum, increasing to £35,019 after probation, plus either a company vehicle or £4,000 vehicle allowance per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm)

Overview
Our client, a leading provider of housing solutions, is seeking a Property Maintenance Operative to cover the Medway area. The role involves managing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across properties within the organisation. The position is home-based, with daily travel to properties to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance tasks in both occupied and vacant properties, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting and decorating, and groundwork.
* Plumbing: conduct a variety of plumbing repairs and minor installations.
* Carpentry: complete a range of repairs and installations, including windows, doors, frames, UPVC components, architraves, skirting boards, bath panels, and related joinery tasks.
* Repair or install fences, soffits, fascias, bargeboards, and related components.
* Joinery tasks such as fitting or repairing various fixtures and fittings, doors, and related elements.
* Plastering: perform patch plastering as needed.
* Painting and decorating: prepare and decorate surfaces, remove old wallpaper or paint, repair cracks and holes, and prepare surfaces for finishes.
* Groundwork: complete groundwork, fencing, and clearance repairs and renewals.
Required Skills
* Proven general property maintenance experience
* Ability to evaluate problems, identify effective solutions, and perform repairs promptly and efficiently
* Clear and effective communication
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload to meet deadlines
* Good attention to detail
* Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
* Full, valid UK driving licence
