CCL Global is currently recruiting for several Construction Engineers (Mechanical/HVAC/Equipment/Piping) to work on HPC. The successful applicant will be part of the team responsible for discharging construction duties onsite under a JV scope.
Location: Hinkley Point C site.
Type of Contract: Permanent or IR35 contract.
Responsibilities:
* Delegate responsibilities to CEs/Works Coordination Leads. Lead, manage, and motivate the team through best practices.
* Deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support construction activities.
* Define scope boundaries.
* Liaise with SMEs and client counterparts.
* Ensure documents are compliant with latest works information and are kept up-to-date, reviewing at least every 6 months.
* Own and drive deliverables from conception to >90% first-time acceptance.
* Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction as per the level 4 plan, e.g., T-3 months accepted prior to works.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Report directly to the Building Manager or deputy.
* Demonstrate positive HSE leadership and promote a compliant HS&E culture throughout the project.
* Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements.
* Review resource levels for support functions.
* Deliver Construction Work Packs to support the JV programme.
* Utilize Procon system for construction support and progress reporting.
* Coordinate Work Authorization and Permit systems.
* Coordinate safe access routing and support topographical and other surveys.
Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering Degree or equivalent.
* Relevant professional accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering).
* Ability to achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or higher).
* CCNSG Safety Passport.
* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary (Mechanical/HVAC/Piping) teams in construction.
* Proven track record in nuclear power preferred.
* Experience in major construction projects, ideally nuclear or power generation.
* Experience at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including within Joint Ventures.
