Job Details
We are looking for a highly skilled Early Years practitioner to work in partnership with funded providers in the private, voluntary and childminding sectors to develop the curriculum and support these services to meet the requirements of the National Quality Standards. The role will have a focus on knowledge of ASL legislation, supporting partner providers with Additional Support Needs, and Health/Nutrition. The EYDO will work alongside team colleagues to support high quality learning experiences to be offered across all funded providers.
Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements
You are required to hold one of the following practitioner level qualifications (or equivalent):
HNC Early Years Education and Childcare or equivalent
or SNNEB or equivalent
or SVQ3 with experience in local authority nursery or equivalent
Significant experience in an EYO post or equivalent.
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
You should have a working knowledge of ASL legislation, the Curriculum for Excellence, Realising the Ambition and child development from birth to 5 years, as well as experience in delivering a child-centred curriculum.
You should have a high level of communication skills, with the ability to confidently deliver presentations and training programmes to suit all learning styles
You will be expected to travel to different locations across Fife.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
