Nursery Assistant (Unqualified) – Early Years (EYFS)

About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our inclusive nursery setting in Chelmsford as an Unqualified Nursery Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for Early Years who is keen to gain hands-on experience and work towards a recognised childcare qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day care and supervision of children aged 0–5
* Assist in delivering engaging, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
* Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
About You
* A genuine interest in working with young children
* Passion for early years development and learning
* Willingness to learn and develop within the childcare sector
* Positive, reliable, and caring attitude
* Commitment to inclusion and supporting all children’s individual needs
* Willing to work towards a recognised childcare qualification (Level 2 or 3)

Requirements
* No formal qualifications required, but a willingness to learn is essential
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
