Salary: £13.50 - £14.50 an hour depending on experience
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Stretford. You will be working in a Year 3 classroom, providing key support to both the class teacher and pupils to help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the class teacher with the daily delivery of the curriculum
* Assisting with small group work and one-to-one interventions, particularly in literacy and numeracy
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
* Preparing classroom resources and helping with displays
* Supporting pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND
* Promoting the well-being and safeguarding of all pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant (ideally in Key Stage 2)
* A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
* A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and flexible attitude
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
