We are pleased to be looking for a Chef De Partie to join our growing team at The Wyldewoods. This role is part-time, offering 20 hours per week across 2 or 3 days, with shifts between 8am and 11pm. Flexibility in working days is required due to the nature of our business.
As a Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure high standards of food quality and service. Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for enriching our residents’ lives through food are essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing and cooking high-quality meals following recipes and portion controls.
2. Supervise kitchen activities and coordinate with the Head Chef on days off, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
3. Contribute to menu planning, considering residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
4. Manage inventory and control food costs.
5. Maintain a positive and professional attitude with residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Chef or similar role.
2. Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors is advantageous.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. Availability for shifts including evenings and weekends.
