We have an exciting opportunity for aPharmacy Technicianto join our Pharmacyteam atHMP Dovegate, acategory BPrison located inUttoxeter in Staffordshire.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

Hours

37.5 hours a week - working 07:00 - 18:00 across 3 days on a rolling rota. One in 4 weekends working

07:45-18:15 weekends and some bank holidays.

Part-time hours can be considered.

Youll receive an annual salary between £28,247 - £32,346 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As an Pharmacy Technician,your responsibilities will vary. You will

* Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed
* Administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders
* Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning.
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.

Requirements

* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

Job responsibilities

As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will become an integral member of pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team.

You will;

Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.

Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.

Deliver non-judgmental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of. Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
