What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Head of Client Onboarding, the successful candidate will work as part of a small team, ensuring the firm 's KYC/AML standards are met by the business.
The Onboarding Officer reviews all new onboarding submissions from the business and self approves all Low Risk cases and works Medium/High Risk cases ready for a four eye check by the Senior team.
The Onboarding Officer also reviews all change requests: trigger events, for example, clients moving from the UK to Spain. A full AML refresh is undertaken due to change in geographical risk from low to medium risk.
You’ll check periodic AML reviews for existing clients: for low, medium, high risk clients on a cyclical basis, as well as Integration AML reviews for newly acquired offices as the business expands.
You will also utilise tools to conduct extensive research on clients (using public research/BvD/co-pilot) as much as possible, whilst maintaining the internal process documents guide to ensure they remain accurate.
This role is to work on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract based at our Liverpool office, with minimum 2 days per week in the office (Thursdays & Fridays).
As an AML Client Onboarding Officer, your responsibilities will include among others,
* Check and approve the AML/KYC for new clients as part of the take-on process
* Provide advice to the business on the AML/KYC to be obtained, when required
* Assist the business in ensuring all necessary AML documentation is gathered
* Assist the business in ensuring client AML records are fully up to date through periodic AML review
* Working closely with the Financial Crime team on complex / high risk requests
* Ensuring all logs are up to date and correct
* Assisting in producing various MI for management
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have
* Anti-money laundering and client due diligence experience
* Knowledge and experience of dealing with KYC/AML for wide range of client types, including private individuals, corporates, partnerships, trusts etc
* Experience of establishing Source of Income & Source of Wealth of Higher Risk individuals
* Experience of using Worldcheck for PEP and Sanctions screening
* Knowledge and experience of complex AML scenarios, including AML requirements for clients based in higher risk territories is preferred but a not necessity
* Willingness to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the rules, regulations and guidance in respect of all aspects of AML
