Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process.
Duties
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding to fabricate and assemble shutters, shopfronts, and metal frameworks.
* Measure, cut, and shape metal materials using tools and machinery such as grinders, cutters, and presses.
* Inspect completed welds for quality, ensuring they meet technical and safety standards.
· Conduct repairs and maintenance on metal structures and components.
· Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment.
· Follow established safety procedures and use protective equipment as required.
· Work in both workshop and on-site environments, sometimes at client premises.
· Collaborate with installation teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time taken.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding, with a strong understanding of TIG and Stick welding techniques.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
* Solid mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
* Previous experience in assembly work is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
