A well-established UK engineering and infrastructure solutions business is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team at its Head Office in Eastleigh.

Assistant Management Accountant Description:
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Assistant Management Accountant will support the delivery of accurate, timely and meaningful financial reporting to internal stakeholders.
The position will involve working closely with operational teams to support business performance, analyse financial results and contribute insights that help improve efficiency and profitability.
A key element of the role will involve analysing hire fleet performance, identifying trends and supporting decision-making to maximise operational and financial performance across the business.
For the right candidate, the organisation is open to considering part-time working (minimum four days per week).
Assistant Management Accountant Key Responsibilities: Produce and develop customer and internal reporting, including monthly forecasts, actuals and KPI reports
Provide accurate management information on the monthly performance of operational business units
Assist with month-end processes, including journals, analysis and variance investigations
Analyse performance trends and highlight significant variances or anomalies
Support the maintenance and development of the financial forecasting and consolidation models
Assist with preparation and reporting of the annual financial plan
Ensure reporting deadlines are met and respond to queries from stakeholders
Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and project work
Assistant Management Accountant Criteria:
Studying towards, or planning to study, AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a wider team
Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise work effectively and adapt to changing business requirements
Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
