Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Chemistry with a desire to ignite a love of science in young minds? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our high-achieving Science department in a sixth form college in Ealing.

About the Science Department:

The Science department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared commitment to delivering a high-quality science education. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of scientific disciplines, including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. We have well-equipped laboratories and access to the latest technology and resources to support students' learning and exploration of science.

About the Role:

* Teach Chemistry at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of chemical concepts and applications.
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Support students in preparing for their A Level Chemistry examinations, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to succeed.
* Guide students in conducting independent research and completing challenging coursework, fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Chemistry curriculum remains relevant, challenging, and engaging.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Chemistry education.

Ideal Candidate:

* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Chemistry.
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching Chemistry and a commitment to student success.
* Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
* Has a good understanding of the A Level Chemistry specifications and assessment requirements.
* Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
