We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team at the I54 Wolverhampton site.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, managing the control of process input variables, and driving continuous improvements in product quality and process performance. You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Analyse customer complaints and internal rejects, performing robust root cause analysis and managing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Track and report quality concerns, ensuring visibility and timely resolution.
* Monitor and inspect production processes to verify that quality standards are consistently achieved.
* Analyse process and quality data to identify and prioritise areas for improvement.
* Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
* Develop, maintain, and improve quality documentation, including control plans, test plans, and validation protocols.
* Monitor and control materials and supplies to ensure consistent quality.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain to drive quality improvements.
* Collect and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality control and process improvement.
* Support and sustain Lean and Six Sigma methodologies within the manufacturing environment.
* Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001:2015, coordinating and supporting internal audit programs and corrective follow-ups.
What You’ll Already Have
* Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proven experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 compliant environment.
* Demonstrated experience conducting internal audits and managing quality management systems (QMS).
* In-depth knowledge of root cause analysis tools and methodologies such as 8D.
* Ability to establish and maintain systems to ensure process input variables remain in specification.
* Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (certification advantageous).
* High level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems such as EFACS.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Qualified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification (advantageous).
