To assist our Watford team in helping to grow the firm, the duties you will carry out are:
* Managing a full portfolio of medium/large clients (including some Groups).
* Booking appropriate staff to complete each audit.
* Reviewing files and highlighting key issues to audit RI.
* Liaising with clients in an appropriate manner and style.
* Setting budgets and negotiating fees with clients.
* Raising invoices in accordance with the agreed billing profile.
* Tracking delivery against budgets / identifying any cause of overruns.
* Involvement with appraisals/reviews and identifying training as required.
* Engaging in business development / networking events, beginning to demonstrate the ability to introduce new clients to Hillier Hopkins through personal contacts, networking, or existing client introductions.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you will have the following skills/experience:
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* At least 2 years’ post-qualified audit experience from a UK Accountancy Firm.
* Technically strong in UK GAAP.
* IT competent and familiar with computerised packages (ideally CaseWare).
* Ability to prioritise, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and multi-task effectively.
* Strong ability to identify key risk areas at planning and completion.
* Able to work on own initiative and be flexible, while being a team player and effective delegator of tasks, continuing to accept responsibility for delegated activities.
Additional qualities include demonstrating a positive attitude and acting as a role model.
This is a full-time role – Monday to Friday (hybrid).
Remuneration will depend on experience.
Right to Work in the UK is required.
The package will include:
* Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week’s salary.
* Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme: all staff are auto-enrolled (Employer: 5%; Employee: 3%), subject to eligibility.
* Private Medical Insurance after 3 months of service (taxable benefit).
* Death in Service scheme cover (4x salary).
* Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) after 3 months of service.
* Annual Leave of 25 days per annum (pro-rata), with 3 days typically taken at Christmas/New Year.
