Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-driven and strategic Income Analyst to join a dynamic NHS finance team. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure all patient activity is accurately recorded and priced in line with the National Tariff Payment System (NTPS). Your analysis and insight will support senior decision-making, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality care.

Main Duties of the Role
* Ensure accurate capture and pricing of patient activity in accordance with NTPS rules.
* Deliver high-quality income reporting and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
* Investigate and resolve data and income variances to ensure financial integrity.
* Develop and enhance reporting processes to meet evolving organisational needs.
* Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and senior managers.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience (Essential):
* CCAB-qualified (or equivalent relevant experience).
* Strong NHS finance experience, including working at a senior level and with Trust Board-level staff.
* In-depth knowledge of NHS commissioning and income processes.
* Expertise in costing and pricing complex business cases.
* Proven track record of managing priorities such as monthly accounts and income reports.
* Staff management experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
* Advanced skills in Excel, Access, and SQL (including report writing).
* Ability to design and build financial models, reports, and dashboards.
* Excellent analytical and interpretation skills with attention to detail.
* Capable of managing multiple deadlines under pressure.
