This role sits within the Revenues and Benefits service and supports a busy, fast-moving housing team providing vital assistance to residents across the city.

š  What Youāll Be Doing
 * Providing reliable administrative support through telephone, email, and online communication.
 * Assisting customers with Housing Benefit applications, funding queries, and general housing-related enquiries.
 * Managing the Revenues and Benefits mailbox, ensuring all correspondence is handled promptly and accurately.
 * Processing and updating financial transactions and client records using internal IT systems.
 * Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
 * Supporting team operations through accurate recordākeeping and administrative duties.
 * Communicating confidently, calmly, and empathetically with clients in challenging situations.
 * Working collaboratively within a small, friendly team to meet tight deadlines and service targets.

 What Weāre Looking For
 * Proven administrative experience in a busy office or public sector environment.
 * Strong IT skills, including accurate data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office.
 * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
 * Calm, empathetic, and professional manner when dealing with the public.
 * High levels of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
 * A proactive, quickāthinking approach in a fastāpaced setting.
Desirable:
 * Experience within housing, benefits, or local authority services.
