Job Description
The Personal Injury Solicitor will be:* Managing a caseload of litigated defendant EL and PL claims from inception through to trial* Handling complex multi track matters valued up to £350,000* Acting on behalf of large retail and corporate clients* Preparing cases for trial, including witness statements, disclosure and instructions to counsel* Advising clients on litigation strategy, liability and quantum* Conducting negotiations and settlement discussions where appropriate* Ensuring compliance with the DCP and relevant procedural rules* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
3. * Working collaboratively within a busy and high performing litigation team
The Successful Applicant
The Personal Injury Solicitor should be:* A solicitor or equivalent with ideally 5+ years PQE in defendant personal injury litigation* Experienced in handling litigated EL and PL claims on the multi track* Confident managing claims valued up to £350,000 through to trial* Fully conversant with the DCP and Civil Procedure Rules* Commercially aware with strong client management skills* Organised and capable of managing a busy caseload effectively* A confident communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
