A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and hard-working individual to join the Operations Team at RunThrough. We are looking for a candidate to manage and support the delivery of cutting-edge and professional mass-participation running events. You shall complete the daily tasks of event management, including venue management, course designs, and maintaining high standards in the preparation and delivery of events.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors, etc.
2. Create and update event management plans and risk assessments.
3. Lead the course team on event days, ensuring correct setup and pack-down of courses. Act as the lead cyclist for events where appropriate.
4. Support the event team with course designs, marshal maps, and answering enquiries.
5. Line management of a small team.
Essential Skills and Requirements
* Passionate about physical activity and running.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
* Full driving licence.
* Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
* Willing to work weekends with early start and finish times.
* Knowledge of the UK running industry.
* Previous experience managing relationships with venues, councils, or other clients.
* Coaching and volunteer experience.
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
