About the Role
Were looking for caring, reliable and passionate Childrens Support Workers to join our dedicated team on a part-time night shift contract (3 nights per week, 30 hours). Shifts run 9pm 7am, supporting children and young people aged 318 with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex needs.
This is a respite service, meaning young people may stay with us for as little as 2 hours or up to 14 nights, giving their parents valuable time to rest and recharge. The home features an on-site sensory room, and the team regularly runs activities and events to keep young people engaged, stimulated and supported throughout their stay.
Every shift is different you might be supporting bedtime routines, providing emotional reassuranceor helping create a calm, positive and nurturing environment overnight.
Your Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe, clean and nurturing residential environment
Follow safeguarding, care plans and regulatory standards at all times
Provide personal, emotional and practical support to children and young people
Promote independence, consistency and positive routines
Support night-time needs, including personal care and monitoring wellbeing
Engage with young people with physical and learning disabilities
Build trusting, supportive relationships that make a real impact
Work calmly and confidently with challenging behaviour and complex needs
Collaborate with colleagues to promote each young persons wellbeing and development
Understand and uphold Ofsted Childrens Home Regulations
What Were Looking For
Minimum 6 months UK social care experience (essential)
Ability to work 3 waking night shifts every week (9pm7am)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred)
A genuine passion for supporting children with disabilities
Resilience, empathy and a positive, proactive attitude
What We Offer
