HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician / Diesel Mechanic \n \nLocation: Gateshead \n \nThe Role \nWe are looking for a VMU Technician to join our Gateshead Depot Vehicle Maintenance Unit, Supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our fleet. \nYou'll be part of a close knit team of 7 colleagues working together to maintain a fleet of around 45 to 50 vehicles. \nIn this hands on role, you'll carry out inspections, servicing and repairs on vehicles, trailers and associated equipment, helping to ensure our fleet remains compliant, roadworthy and available to meet delivery schedules.
\nYou'll work closely with the VMU Co-ordinators, front line managers and the wider logistics team, contributing to performance targets while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. \n \nThe Offer: \n·Basic Salary: £43,172 + Overtime & Benefits = £46,000 per annum \n·Hours: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00 & 11:00 - 19:00 (44-hour week). \n·Rotating Saturday Morning 06:00am to 14:00pm \n·Contract: Full-time, Permanent.\n\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For \n·Inspecting, servicing and repairing vehicles, trailers and ancillary equipment \n·Completing work in line with company procedures and DVSA/VOSA standards \n·Supporting vehicle availability in line with operational and delivery requirements \n·Worki...
