The Insurance Claims Adviser plays an important role in the Insurance team and Wood’s interaction with claims stakeholders both internally and externally. The role provides critical support for the management of insurance claims under Wood’s global insurance arrangements ensuring claims are met by insurers in accordance with insurance policy terms. This position is open to both hybrid and remote working. What we can offer Flexible working arrangements that balance client, team and individual needs offering hybrid working arrangements Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion; we are an organisation actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business with employee networks committed to giving all employees a voice Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market Flexible benefits package; inclusive of 33 days annual leave (including public holidays), generous contributory pension scheme, private medical cover, 4x base salary life insurance; all of these and more that can be adapted to suit your own lifestyle Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Global connections; join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Responsibilities Claim Notification and Management Support the management of claims in line with insurance policy conditions and Wood claims procedures Work closely with Wood Business Units and Functions, insurers, brokers and third-party claim administrators (TPAs) to collate and update insurance claims information and records and actively progress claims to satisfactory and timely resolution Monitor claims inbox, decide and take appropriate action in line with delegation of authority Review invoices/payment requests with appropriate referral to Claims Manager and arrange for payment in accordance with delegation of authority and approval processes Review insurer claims reports and invoices that are issued to the Wood captive insurance company to ensure payments/reserves are accurate, within retention and reflective of the claim Arrange and maintain a system for regular claim updates and attend review meetings with insurers and solicitors to review claim progress and strategy Review HSSE&S recorded incidents (CAIRS) - to ensure timely reporting to insurers Contribute to continuous service improvement and improved ways of working and processing efficiencies within the team through claims data analysis Business Support Act as a referral point to Wood Business Units and Functions for advice and guidance on insurance claims Maintain information in respect of historical Wood entities and insurance arrangements to enhance defence possibilities in respect of disease claims Review and update claims processes and procedures in accordance with Wood principles and insurance programme Work closely with Wood's Legal team to ensure appropriate management of litigated claims Data Management Develop and issue reports from the Wood insurance database to support Wood Insurance team, assisting the insurance policy renewal process, captive management and actuarial analysis, addressing audit queries and supporting Wood Functional teams, Business Units and other stakeholders Data entry, maintenance, management and development of the Wood insurance claims database Ensure that the progress of all litigated claims is updated in the Global Litigation Report (GLR) at least quarterly, so that the legal team maintains a complete and current overview of all cases Creating and managing electronic files - manage day-to-day correspondence Management of claims information in the Group Insurance Sharepoint site Annual review of claims records to comply with GDPR Regulations Update senior management on material claim development and financials Qualifications What makes you remarkable?
