Tradewind are working with a vibrant Mainstream Primary School in Blackpool who are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker / Site Supervisor to join their supportive team over the half term periods. They will next require support over February half term, Monday - Friday for one weeks temporary contract work, between the hours of 8am - 4pm. Your return will then be required over April end of term holiday's (Easter) to support with grounds maintenance.
As a central figure in the school community, you will ensure that the school site remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This is a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the learning environment and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school.
About the Role
As the Caretaker / Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Site Security: Responsible for the daily unlocking and locking of the school premises and ensuring the site is secure at all times.
General Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, painting, and DIY tasks to ensure the building and grounds are well-maintained.
Health & Safety: Maintaining a safe environment for primary-aged children, completing regular safety checks, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Cleaning & Hygiene Support: Working alongside and supporting the cleaning team to ensure facilities are kept to an exceptional standard.
Contractor Liaison: Supervising external contractors for larger projects and monitoring all works carried out on-site.
Grounds Maintenance: Overseeing the general upkeep of playgrounds and outdoor learning areas.
Emergency Response: Responding to any urgent maintenance issues, leaks, or call-outs as required.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate. A full DBS check will be required as part of the screening process. Tradewind will support with your application
