Data Centre Shift Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled professional to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a critical data centre environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of key systems that keep things running smoothly.
The role involves performing daily inspections and servicing/maintenance on all Mechanical & Engineering systems and tech equipment, as well as ensuring the site's environmental conditions meet safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities include responding to BMS alarms and handling emergency repairs swiftly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will also work closely with third-party vendors to ensure all work complies with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities also include flagging and reporting any issues with subcontractor performance, performing planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on equipment, and monitoring BMS for any HVAC-related issues.
In addition, the role involves conducting facility walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utility systems, troubleshooting and resolving any facility and plant defects, and following all safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and quality control measures.
The successful candidate will be required to complete necessary training and development to stay sharp and capable, and will maintain accurate records and reports to support smooth operations.
