Overview Of Role
As an FP&A Analyst reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will drive financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Beyond core FP&A duties, you’ll support corporate finance activities, including investment appraisals, capital allocation, and M&A analysis. This analytical role demands strong financial modeling skills and expertise in corporate finance within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Accuracy, thoroughness, and a commitment to excellence are essential.
Location: Stratford, London, hybrid - 3 days office based
You Will Be Required To
1. Develop bottom-up business models to support new market launches and product expansion.
2. Lead the monthly reporting cycle, including preparing the revenue flash, monthly P&L analysis and board reporting, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
3. Conduct in-depth financial performance analysis, clearly articulating variances against budget to support informed decision-making.
4. Play a key role in the budgeting process and long-term planning, developing and maintaining the financial model.
5. Support corporate finance initiatives, including capital allocation strategies, funding analysis, and financial due diligence for M&A opportunities.
6. Partner with the YPS management team to provide financial analysis for decision making across commercial activities and projects, including tenders and investment appraisals.
We Require
1. Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent), with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
2. Strong FP&A experience, with direct exposure to Corporate Finance activities, such as investment appraisals, capital allocation and M&A.
3. Exceptional financial modelling skills, with experience in building bottom-up three-statement business models.
4. Advanced Excel proficiency, with expertise in data analysis, automation and process optimisation.
5. Strong presentation skills, with the ability to visualise financial data and communicate key insights effectively to stakeholders.
6. Highly organised and detail-oriented, committed to high standards of accuracy and quality.
7. Collaborative and a team player, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
8. Ambitious and eager to learn – keen to grow fast in a high-growth organisation.
9. Experience working in disruptive or fast-growth businesses.
