Department and Overview:
The Machining department is responsible for continually improving the availability of Perkins production equipment. Recent investments in people and equipment have led to a motivated, highly engaged team using modern technology and maintenance techniques.
A role in our Maintenance team offers the opportunity to work with leading manufacturing brands such as:

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
* Fault finding on electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Adhere to planned preventative maintenance schedules
* React quickly to breakdowns, liaising effectively with leadership and affected parties
* Coordinate with Production & Engineering departments to ensure equipment availability
* Ensure high equipment availability for internal customers
* Follow safe working practices, create and adhere to risk assessments
* Investigate quality issues related to machines in a structured manner
* Report and document daily issues for handover
Skills and Experience:
Candidates should have gained the following skills and experience:
* NVQ Level 3 / Time served Apprentice or equivalent qualification
* Experience with PLC systems, fault finding, and diagnostics
* Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
* Experience with mechanical aspects of machinery (motors, gearboxes, etc.)
* Ability to read electrical, fluid, and mechanical drawings
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Additional desirable skills include:
* Experience with conveyor maintenance (drives, clutches, inverters)
* Experience with Siemens S7
* Experience with Fanuc Robots
* Recognized forklift license, MEWP license, driving license
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
