Overview
The Anaesthetics Department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic new specialty doctor to join our team. The post consists of provision of anaesthesia on supervised weekday elective operating lists, and evening and weekend resident cover for emergency theatres, labour ward or critical care. The successful applicant will join a 1 in 9 resident rota (one of four out-of-hours resident rotas in anaesthetics and critical care).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Full Registration with the GMC with a License to Practice
* Primary FRCA or equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years experience in Anaesthesia
Desirable criteria
* FRCA or equivalent
* Post-Graduate Prizes
Essential Criteria - Clinical Skills and Training
* Basic training in general anaesthesia, including paediatrics, and having attained Initial competencies.
* Basic training in ICM and attained initial competencies
* Basic training in obstetric anaesthesia and attained initial competencies
* Up to date Immediate Life Support Training
Desirable criteria - Teaching Experience
* Active regular participation in teaching and training of medical and para-medical colleagues
* Formal Educational Qualification
* Life support course instructor
Information Technology
* Basic IT skills (Essential)
