About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, estimating, scripting, and executing testing of system changes for Pepper’s internally developed mortgage servicing software. Changes may range from small client requests and bug fixes to larger projects that significantly alter the systems.
Location:
Skipton or Uxbridge.
Your responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop high-quality test plans, including those shared externally with clients.
* Understand internal mortgage servicing systems to assess change impacts by working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and End Users.
* Craft detailed test scripts with clear prerequisites, steps, and expected results.
* Execute test scripts, provide status updates, identify defects, and raise risks during meetings.
* Propose improvements to the testing process, ensuring benefits and implementation plans are communicated and reviewed.
* Possess 3+ years of experience as a Test Analyst or similar role.
* Have a good understanding of formal testing approaches; ISTQB/ASTQB certifications are preferred.
* Be proficient in Microsoft Transact-SQL or similar database languages.
* Have basic knowledge of programming and scripting (desirable).
* Experience in mortgages, financial services, or related fields is advantageous.
