General Maintenance Worker

Grade C pt 4 pr 6 (£25,183 to £25,989 pro rata) Term time only
Part time role, working afternoons for 30 hours a week (12pm-6pm)
Actual Salary - £17,073 to £17,619 per annum
Required as soon as possible

The Federation are looking to appoint an experienced, skilled, self-motivated, conscientious, enthusiastic individual to join our site team. We currently have a Premises Manager and 3 full time caretakers. We also have someone doing this role in the mornings. We are looking to add to our team with someone who can open and close 2 of our smaller sites, carry out maintenance jobs across all 4 sites, and look after our fleet of minibuses.

The Federation has 3 schools, 4 sites, 220 plus staff and 700 plus pupils whose safety, wellbeing and an excellent educational, working environment are the priority of this role.

The role requires experience in a number of facility disciplines. The priority of the role is to facilitate the running of 2 of our small buildings, and to ensure that the appearance of all federation facilities are maintained to a high standard. It is also to ensure that the minibuses are always ready to use.
To work in the following areas:

Building security.
Porterage of school dinners from the main kitchen to the two satellite sites.
General maintenance (painting and decorating, joinery etc) of all four sites.
General maintenance of the minibuses (ensuring cleanliness, servicing and fuel levels are all maintained).
Being a valued member of the Site team.
Promoting the Ethos of the School internally and external

Experience in the following areas would be desirable:

Under the supervision of the Premises Manager, to liaise with contractors and other agencies concerning repairs and maintenance requirements of the federations four sites.
Plumbing, electrics, any other building skills.
