We are offering a clinical pharmacist post to deliver pharmaceutical care as part of a multi-professional team to optimise quality, evidence-based and cost-effective use of medicines. The post will provide aspects of the clinical pharmacy service within the community hospital including chemotherapy, medical patients and specialist medical health unit. We are keen to hear from people who would wish to work on a part time or full time basis. Ideally the post holder would be is based in Lochgilphead, however routine remote working may be considered.
We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive individuals to join us. You will have relevant experience of pharmacy practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good IT skills. You will join an established pharmacy team responsible for delivering high quality medicines management and clinical pharmacy input to a range of settings including GP practices, community hospital and mental health unit. The rural nature of the posts provides variety and the opportunity to develop new skills.
You must have a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience. Ideally you will be an independent prescriber or be willing to undertake this.
The post will involve travelling to a number of locations so a full, current driving licence and use of own car for work purposes is essential.

1. Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
