Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth and CI Projects at the site, they are looking for a new maintenance engineer to join their production and packaging team.
Role And Responsibilities
 * Carry out planned, reactive maintenance and safety checks on all high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery, conveyors, metal detectors, labellers, baggers, checkweighers, PLCs, control panels, robotics, depositors.
 * Electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs, stripdowns, and overhauls.
 * Work on motors, gearboxes, VSDs, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, bearings.
 * Improve plant availability, reliability, and continuous improvement work.
 * Monitor contractors on site, ordering spares and parts.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
 * Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
 * Ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship.
 * HNC/HND qualified in Engineering.
 * Electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills.
 * Previous experience with industrial processing equipment and manufacturing systems.
 * Must have worked in a similar food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
 * Knowledge of electrical safety isolation procedures beneficial.
 * Experience with motors, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, VSDs, pneumatics, drives.
 * Experience using SAP beneficial.
 * Advantageous if worked with PLC systems.
 * Experience in ATEX/CompEX environment great.
