The role
To manage Decarbonisation (Retrofit) capital delivery stream and team, responsible for all internal investment works. Ensure all capital delivery programmes of work and quality inspections are managed and delivered within agreed timescales to an acceptable quality and within agreed budgets.
This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than, customers.
What you'll achieve
1. Deploy and manage contracts delivering Planned Investment across Orbit’s existing housing stock with an annual budget of £10m
2. To be responsible for ensuring the regional delivery of Decarbonisation (retrofit) capital delivery programmes. Works will include but not be limited to: External wall insulation, Internal wall insulation, cavity wall insulation, ground floor insulation, heating systems, replacement windows and doors, roofing works and solar PV
3. Prepare and maintain systems, processes, and documentation to ensure the team members properly fulfil the role of Client Representative under the term partnering agreements or Project Manager under traditional forms of contract. Work with other Contracts Managers and contracting partners to develop a common approach to the preparation of programmes, design, and prices for tasks within the Investment Programme.
4. Attend and/or chair Operational Performance Meetings and report to Regional Programme Managers including Early Warning Meetings and other strategic groups associated with the term partnering contracts for works delivered by the Property Operations Directorate
5. Record and present KPI performance against the criteria defined in Orbits performance framework. Work alongside the Regional Programme Manager and collaboratively with contractors to ensure minimum acceptable standards are achieved and performance is continuously improved.

6. Experience of delivering retrofit works
7. Experience of managing against external grant funding requirements
8. Good understanding of PAS and how it applies to projects
9. Experience of leading and delivering a programme of work in a way that achieves high levels of Customer satisfaction
10. Educated to degree level in a property related subject or relevant professional qualification
11. IOSH Qualified
12. Willing and able to participate in the out of hours emergency duty rota
