Technical Network are leading a search for an automotive manufacturer based in Telford. Are you a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry? Are you well-versed in Core Quality Tools and have experience with IATF 16949 audits? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Quality Manager will need experience in leadership roles and a thorough understanding of core quality tools. They will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced Tier 1 environment. Additionally, they must be skilled in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure client satisfaction, lead and facilitate quality improvements resolving issues and lead to the achievement of successful PPAP. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
* Responsible for ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced Tier 1 environment.
* Lead and facilitate quality improvements resolving issues and lead to the achievement of successful PPAP.
* Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams to improve quality and reliability of products.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Responsible for supplier quality assessments and audits to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the supply chain.
* Responsible for a team of 5 (Senior Quality Engineers, Supervisors, Supplier Eng, Metallurgist)
Skills and attributes:
* Degree qualified (relevant i.e. Engineering/Manufacturing) – Desirable
* Strong understanding of Core Quality Tools (APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA and PPAP)
* Proficient in and learning the Business Operating Systems (IATF 16949)
* Experience in an automotive / high volume manufacturing environment
* Problem Solving Skills – 8D / Six Sigma
* IATF / TS16949 Internal Auditor
Shift:
Mon-Thu (8:30am-5pm) Friday (8:30am-2pm)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
