We are recruiting on behalf of a small practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon who has a medicine bias to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 4 Saturdays. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role
15. The practice is ideally looking for a vet with a bias in medicine to balance out their surgery specialists
16. They can offer a consultations-only role
17. The role offers flexible working pattern and shifts to suit a good work-life balance - EG to work around school pick up. They are in a position to offer full time, part time or flexi time hours that suit
18. The Vet will be working alongside a 3.5 Vet team, some of whom have a surgical bias
19. The role will offer the Vet the opportunity to pursue areas of special interest
20. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
21. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

About you
37. For a consulting only Vet they must also be competent in emergency surgical procedures for when they are in a period of sole charge
38. They will be an experienced Vet with an interest in internal medicine
39. The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
40. The Vet will be capable of using their own initiative and use their time and resources effectively
41. The Vet will be looking to progress and expand their clinical knowledge
42. The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills and ability to build working relationships easily
43. The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients

44. Salary: Up to £74, per annum, commensurate to experience
45. Holidays: 7 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
