Corporate Receptionist Location: SE1, London Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week Salary: £13.85 per hour (London Living Wage) About the Role Mitie is proud to work in partnership with the London Fire Brigade, delivering high-quality facilities management services that help keep London's critical services running smoothly. We are now looking for a professional, welcoming, and proactive Corporate Receptionist to join our on-site team. As the first point of contact for staff, visitors, contractors, and stakeholders, you will represent both Mitie and the London Fire Brigade to the highest standard. You'll play a key role in ensuring a professional and efficient front-of-house experience, maintaining a safe, secure, and friendly environment. Key Responsibilities Provide a warm, courteous, and professional welcome to all visitors and staff. Manage the reception area, ensuring it is always clean, organised, and presentable. Maintain visitor logs, issue passes, and enforce security protocols where required. Liaise with internal departments, including property, security, and senior management. Manage bookings for meeting rooms and ensure spaces are prepared as required. Support with administrative tasks and other duties as required by the Soft Services Manager or Building Manager. Undertake Fire Warden Duties in accordance with agreed processes. Act in accordance with all health and safety and security policies. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or customer service role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, approachable attitude. Professional appearance and demeanour. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. SIA Door Supervisor license is essential. Why Join Us?
