The London Borough of Havering is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join The Havering Safeguarding Team 3. This exciting opportunity is based in The Town Hall, Main Road, Romford (RM1 4AT) and offers the chance to make a real difference in the community. You will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of £37.52 in an ongoing contract. Core working hours are 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, but we offer flexible options such as 8am-6pm for four days a week or part-time hours if preferred.

What you will do
* Carry out detailed child and family assessments in safeguarding contexts, ensuring each child’s safety and wellbeing is prioritised.
* Manage a caseload of around 18 cases to deliver high-quality child protection interventions.
* Engage in age-appropriate direct work with children to support their development and emotional health.
* Undertake court work and prepare robust reports for legal proceedings in safeguarding cases.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and external agencies to develop plans that safeguard the health and wellbeing of children.
Main Requirements
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Experience in safeguarding practices and comprehensive understanding of child protection (CIN, CP, PLO and Court work).
* Proven experience in completing detailed assessments for children and families, including parenting assessments.
