Job overview The Royal Surrey County Hospital Emergency Department sees approximately 75000 patients every year. To support and enhance the care we provide to patients we are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic registered paediatric nurse to join our team. This is an exciting time to join the Emergency Department as we have recently undergone a rebuild to enhance the patient’s journey through the department. We have introduced dynamic patient pathways to improve patient flow and experience that has resulted in the vast improvement of the department’s performance. Responsibilities will include teaching and facilitation, and overseeing nursing recruitment and induction for nurses new to the Paediatric Emergency Department. You should have considerable experience within Emergency Paediatric nursing and have excellent leadership and communication skills. To provide leadership and motivation to establish clinical practices, which is research/evidence-based and lead to standard setting and regular audit in line with the Trust’s commitment to Clinical Governance. To monitor and review clinical and professional standards of care with the ward sister and action on areas which require education.
